IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. in cooperation with Thailand Restaurant News hold the press conference on the readiness of “Thailand International Restaurant and Bar 2011” or “R&B 2011” with the gathering from government and private sectors such as Chaitip Co., Ltd., Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd., and Duck King Co., Ltd. to encourage food and beverages operators who have affected from the increasing of cost resulting from the pressure of economic variation. In addition to continue the greatness, to improve professional in food and beverages industries, and to emphasize the strength of trade exhibition and conference for hotel, bar, caf, restaurant, and catering industries and services sectors for the event which will be taken place during 7-9 July 2011 at Building 2, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand.

The press conference of Thailand International Restaurant and Bar 2011 Industry Briefing on details and progress of the upcoming trade exhibition and conference announced by organizers; IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. and C Ad Promotion (1997) Co., Ltd., the publisher of Thailand Restaurant News. Interested persons have chances to share experiences, learn and gain knowledge on the latest trend and future of the industry and market with the discussion “Supply Chain Change Value Chain” operated by Mr Pairoj Santanirand, Director General of Food Sanitation Division, Department of Health, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration or B.M.A.; Mr Phusit Phensiri, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University; and Mr Boonchawee Chuasiriwat, Operation Manager of SGS (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Mr Pairoj Santanirand, Director General of Food Sanitation Division, Department of Health, B.M.A. said that the R&B 2011 event is the important chance for government and private sectors to join hands to encourage the food industry operators to improve their potential and grow stably. Operators should adjust themselves to the fluctuation on economic. According to B.M.A. major policy, aiming at building strong supply chain by pushing forward Bangkok to be the world travelling city. One of the important role is to promote Bangkok to be the city of safety food by joining with Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University to launch the project titled “Bangkok Green Restaurant” which aims to encourage restaurants to produce safety foods, and adhere to food and environment sanitation. B.M.A. and Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University will be responsible for supply chain system and inspection on international standard to improve the standard to be more satisfy by customers.

Mr Phusit Phensiri, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University said that food service market last year grew 60% despite the fact that there were political and economic crisis. This year, the market growth will be higher if the operators concentrate on their partners and customers, develop their business with lateral thinking, applying technology to strengthen their potentiality. At R&B 2011 event, there are financial support, training and seminar on technologies for building business opportunity for all level of restaurant operators.

For the private sectors, Mr Boonchawee Chuasiriwat, Operation Manager of SGS (Thailand) Co., Ltd. unvealed that supply chain is important for business development which will help to standardized management and increasing efficiency in profit for food and service industries. SME product manufacturers have to aggregate to increase their bargaining power. Food industrial product manufacturers have to develop new innovations for customer choice. Service business operators have to concentrate on consumer demand when developing brand in all dimensions, for example, management with new concept to increase profit, or increase revenue with cost management but not reduce quality. Therefore, the event is suitable for all types of businesses to develop their skills and increase business opportunities.

As an organizer of R&B 2011 Ms Chattaporn Yoelao, editor-in-chief of C Ad Promotion (1997) Co., Ltd. said that the trend of Thai food in 2011 is increase although the increasing is lower than last year. The production sectors are expected to increase 1.6% this year whereas 4.3% in 2010. In 2010, restaurant business in Horeca group increase 30%. R&B 2011 event includes complete products, services, information, knowledge, especially innovation and technology application to increase potentiality for small and medium enterprises as well as community enterprise which is the source of business chain. In addition to give chances and new ideas to entrepreneurs and anyone who is interested in operating food and beverages business through the 360-degree business development according to the changing of market.

Ms Pornpan Bulner, assistant director of Projects of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. added that as a professional organizer in trade exhibition and conference and having a partner who is the first and solely restaurant business magazine that is being treaty accepted by almost every restaurant operators like Thailand Restaurant News as a co-host, the event is well accepted by sponsors, exhibitors, and professional associations in food and
